Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program

King’s Daughters Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is designed to help people with chronic lung conditions, such as COPD and asthma, live the fullest lives possible. Our services can help patients reduce symptoms, manage anxiety, increase the ability to exercise and improve the quality of life.

Pulmonary Rehab is recommended for patients who suffer from a variety of chronic lung conditions, including:

  • Emphysema
  • COPD
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Interstitial lung disease
  • Sarcoidosis
  • Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
  • Asthma

Our goal is to help patients understand – and successfully manage – their symptoms. The program helps patients strengthen the heart and vascular system; improve circulation throughout the body; increase energy and endurance; and experience fewer sick days.

Pulmonary rehab helps patients train their minds, muscles and heart to make the most out of the lungs they have. They learn about lung disease and have the opportunity to learn from experts – and each other. Mutual support is an important part of the program.

Patients who participate in pulmonary rehab often have improved sleep, less stress and anxiety and feel more in control, relaxed and able to cope.

Patients typically attend 36 sessions of pulmonary rehab over a period of 18 weeks.

Pulmonary rehabilitation is covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare. We recommend checking with your insurance provider directly to determine coverage.
