COVID-19 Information
Kingsbrook Lifecare Center welcomes visitors; however, for the health and safety of our residents, families and staff we ask that you follow the guidelines outlined below.
- Please wash your hands with soap and warm water or use hand sanitizer on arrival. Wear a mask during your visit. Try to social distance when around others in common areas of the facility.
- If you test positive for COVID-19, wait at least 10 days since symptoms first appeared or at least 10 days have passed since you tested positive before visiting at Kingsbrook. Symptoms should have also improved and you have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.
- For an exposure to COVID-19, we ask that you wait 10 days before visiting as well as having received negative results. Please make our team aware of any signs, symptoms or exposures of COVID-19 prior to entering.
- If visiting a resident who is positive for COVID-19 or other illnesses that require isolation, a member of our team will assist you with additional personal protective equipment (PPE) to wear during your visit.
Protocols related to COVID-19 in long-term care/skilled nursing facilities are subject to change based on community transmission rates and the guidelines and regulations received from agencies such as our local health department, Office of the Inspector General, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
COVID-19 Signs and Symptoms
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
• Fever or chills
• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Fatigue
• Muscle or body aches
• Headache
• New loss of taste or smell
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Nausea or vomiting
• Diarrhea
