A new option for outpatient lab testing opens at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2. King’s Daughters Drive-Thru Lab, 2406 Carter Ave., provides patients with the opportunity to have laboratory testing performed without leaving their vehicles.
“Over the spring and summer months, we offered a variety of drive-up services at locations throughout the area,” said Shawn Boggs, executive director of diagnostic testing for King’s Daughters. “We wanted to be able to continue to provide drive-through options to our patients throughout the fall and winter months,” he added.
Located adjacent to King’s Daughters Information Technology Center, the drive-thru will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Patients will enter through Mayo Plaza and exit onto Carter Avenue.
Two existing drive-up testing locations in Ashland will be consolidated into the new facility, Boggs noted, adding that drive-through services being offered at King’s Daughters locations outside of Ashland will continue to operate as previously.
In addition to offering laboratory testing, the new Drive-Thru will provide scheduled COVID-19 testing.
Lab testing in Russell
Also on Monday: we are opening a new laboratory testing site to serve patients in Russell and Greenup County. Located in Suite 302 of the Bellefonte Center, 1000 Ashland Drive, the location will provide easy access to lab testing for Russell residents. Laboratory testing is performed on provider order; appointments are not required.
