School is right around the corner, and the Walk-In Care for Schools program from King’s Daughters is ready to help. The program puts nurse practitioners in partner schools, providing high quality, convenient medical care for teachers, staff and students. The result? Healthier schools!
Walk-In Care for Schools helps parents, kids and schools with fewer missed educational days, fewer missed work days, faster access to care, fewer emergency room visits, ongoing management of chronic diseases, and improved academic performance.
The King’s Daughters teams in each school also can provide flu vaccinations, sports physicals, and home delivery of prescriptions.
Partner school systems and facilities include:
- Ashland Day Treatment Center
- Ashland Independent Schools
- Boyd County Schools
- Carter County Schools
- Fairview Independent Schools
Forms to sign up for the program will go home with students at the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year. They also are available online at kingsdaughtershealth.com/schools.
