Patients of nearly all primary care providers (family medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics) at King’s Daughters now can schedule their appointments online through MyChart, the Health System’s electronic medical record system.
The new self-scheduling feature means existing patients can see available slots and make an appointment from their computers or smartphones. There are more than 75 primary care providers in the King’s Daughters system. These include physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Self-scheduling has been a pilot program with several physician offices for the past year, and the results have been very positive, according to Jane Blankenship, director of System Access.
The service is also available with the King's Daughters gastroenterology office.
Access to the MyChart system is free. Patients can request access to MyChart in a few ways:
- Visit KingsDaughtersHealth.com and choose the “MyChart Log-in” link
- Call the Care 24/7 service at (606) 408-8999 or 1-844-324-2200
Patients also can contact Care 24/7 to schedule appointments, as well as seek medical advice from a nurse. A Walk-In Care center, which provides primary care and does not require appointments, also is located in Russell, Kentucky.
