Red Cross Blood Drive is March 15

King’s Daughters will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 in King’s Daughters Health Education Center (lower level of the Lexington Avenue parking garage).

It's estimated that more than 4.5 million people in the U.S. would die each year without a blood transfusion. If all blood donors gave two to four times a year, it would help prevent shortages prevalent in summer and winter months.

Donating blood usually takes less than 10 minutes. The entire process, from sign in until the donor leaves takes about 45 minutes.

Appointments to donate blood are suggested and may be made by calling the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767 or visit redcrossblood.org and enter KDMC to schedule an appointment.
