King's Daughters welcomes orthopedic surgeon Steven Carawan, M.D., to KDMS Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Suite G20, 613 23rd St., Ashland.
Dr. Carawan is also accepting appointments at King's Daughters Medical Specialties - Prestonsburg, 1279 Old Abbot Mtn. Road.
As part of our Rapid Recovery orthopedic surgical team, Dr. Carawan's areas of practice include hip and knee total joint replacement.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He joins King's Daughters from Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard.
Dr. Carawan joins orthopedic surgeons Michael Chambers, M.D., Felix Cheung, M.D., Charles Giangara, M.D., Gerry Trinidad, M.D., sports medicine physician Andy Gilliland, M.D., physician assistant Jeremy Kaltenbach and surgical podiatrist Matthew Ellsworth, DPM.
