King’s Daughters welcomes nurse practitioner Ashli Davitt Bowling, APRN, to KDMS – Nephrology and Hypertension Specialists, joining nephrologists James Egel, M.D., Donald Hammonds, D.O., Michael Kasey, D.O., Jonathan Kendall, M.D., Ryann Pangan, M.D., Swathi Pullela, D.O., Charbel Salem, M.D., and nurse practitioners Brian Gauze, APRN, and Heather Roth, APRN.
Bowling earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitoner, degree from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse with advanced training in diagnosing and treating illness. Nurse practitioners prescribe medications, treat illness, and administer physical exams.
Nephrologists specialize in the treatment of patients with kidney disease and manage the care of patients requiring renal replacement therapy, including hemodialysis. KDMS – Nephrology providers have a special interest in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and offer specialized clinic to help patients manage difficult to control high blood pressure.
