“We believe CareChex provides the most statistically accurate ratings of hospital quality available,” said Richard Ford, M.D., medical staff president and chief medical officer, Procedural/Surgical Services. “Many evaluation services look at only one aspect of care, such as mortality or complication rates,” he said.
“CareChex’s methodology evaluates the three major components of medical quality – the process of care, outcomes of care and patient satisfaction and, as a result, provides a truer picture of a hospital’s quality,” Ford said.
CareChex® is a division of Comparion® Medical Analytics – one of the nation’s largest privately-held healthcare information services companies. CareChex provides clinical, financial, and patient satisfaction findings to consumers, providers and purchasers of U.S. medical care. Unlike other publicly available quality ratings, CareChex provides a composite evaluation of all components of medical quality including process of care, outcomes of care and patient experiences.
